Legal & Fan Art Policy

Important terms concerning fan-art tributes, open-source file licensing, load limits on functional prints, and hardware safety guidelines.

1. Fan Art & IP Status

Certain showcase models fabricated in the Cryo Labs or documented on this site (including pop-culture tributes, sports helmets, emblems, and franchise motifs) are independent, transformative fan creations inspired by popular media.

No Affiliation: Cold Front Forge and One Buffalo Labs are not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with the National Football League (NFL), the Buffalo Bills, Nintendo, Pokémon, Warner Bros., Paramount, Marvel, or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates. All trademarks, registered logos, character likenesses, and brand names are the property of their respective owners.

Personal Use & Non-Commerciality: Any digital files or showcase builds referencing copyrighted franchises are intended strictly for personal display, fair-use commentary, and fan tribute. They are not sold as official commercial products.

2. Open-Source Licensing (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0)

Unless stated otherwise on external repository platforms (MakerWorld, Printables, Creality Cloud, Thangs, or GitHub), all original parametric CAD designs, STL files, and 3MF files authored by Cold Front Forge are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).

  • Attribution: You must give appropriate credit to Cold Front Forge and provide a link to the original model.
  • Non-Commercial: You may not use the material, files, or physical prints derived from them for commercial purposes or resale without written permission.
  • ShareAlike: If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license.
Critical Liability Notice

3. Functional & Fitness Equipment Disclaimer

3D-printed mounts, hooks, barbell collar holders, and dumbbell organizers fabricated by Cold Front Forge are non-structural accessories designed solely for passive space organization.

Not Certified Life-Safety Equipment: 3D-printed thermoplastic parts are NOT certified, load-rated, or engineered for life-safety applications, safety spotter catches, dynamic fall arrests, or overhead suspension of weights or barbells.

Layer Adhesion & Environmental Factors: Additive manufacturing relies on layer-to-layer adhesion, which can fail catastrophically and without warning if subjected to impact, cyclical stress, UV exposure, improper fastener torque, or temperatures outside specified filament tolerances.

Assumption of Risk: Installation and use of any functional gear are performed at the user's sole risk. Cold Front Forge and One Buffalo Labs disclaim all liability for personal injury, equipment damage, or property loss resulting from the use or failure of our printed models.

4. General Printing Hazards & Tolerances

Choking Hazard: Many 3D-printed items, multipart assembly spheres, tokens, and card accessories contain small components or can produce small fragments if dropped or broken. Keep out of reach of infants, young children, and pets.

Thermal Limitations: Standard PLA and PLA+ begin to deform and soften at temperatures around 120°F (50°C). Do not expose PLA prints to direct summer sunlight, enclosed hot vehicles, or dishwashers. Use PETG or heat-resistant filaments where thermal stability is required.

"As-Is" Tolerances:Digital source files and physical prints are provided "as-is" with standard FDM tolerances of ±0.2mm. Due to variations across different slicers, printer calibrations, and filament shrinkage rates, fit tolerances on self-printed files may vary.
